Ellis Rubinstein is the editor of Science, one of the most important science magazine throughout the world. His notable experience in the scientific publishing field and his ideas will help us to understand the development and the revolution in how scientific information is being communicated today. At IFSE-Rio, Rubinstein will speak about how scientists and publishers are facing the challenge of the new capacities of digital information distribution, and how scientific knowledge will become available to the public in an unprecedented broad and deep way. As the keynote theme for all the discussions that will follow the IFSE-Rio opening conference, Ellis Rubinstein's presentation will discuss the problems and perspectives these new means bring to the producers of scientific information, and to those who use it.
