Subject: ALA Discussion Group Call for Speakers

The ALCTS Role of the Professional in Academic Technical Services
Discussion Group meets at ALA Annual Conference on Sunday
afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  At the July 9, 2000
meeting the discussion will concentrate on systems and technology
skills needed by Technical Services librarians? Examples would be
Technical Services librarians' involvement with macro/programming
projects in cataloging; software/hardware skills for things like
EDI and electronic ordering.
