Subject: Togic Binding System

Hi all of you who have e-mail me concerning the problems we're having with
the Togic binding system. I've had numerous inquiries since I sent out my
request for help with the problems with this system. I thought it would be
easier to put what information I have at this time on the list server
instead of replying individually.

After speaking with Brodart again we were given the name and telephone
number of Pengad in New Jersey. I spoke with Ms Pat Verga at Pengad, which
is the intermediary between the manufacturer and Brodart. She told me that
the basic problem with this system is that the manufacturer can no longer
find motors for the binding machine. Hence, no new machines and Brodart has
all the available motors (they bought all the available motors so they can
continue to do their repairs).

Pat also told me that, at this time, the manufacturer can still supply
things like the tacks, tack cutters, and the heating elements through them
to Brodart. Possibly other parts as well.

Brodart is the only authorized distributor for the Togic machine and parts.
Pat said that she didn't know of any other system similar to Togic.

If anyone has any other information I'd be happy to hear about it. Anyone
know of another binding system?
