Subject: Journal of Cell Science

The electronic version of recent issues of the Journal of cell science,
published by Company of Biologists, has several articles omitted from the
table of contents and the index. These are "Millenium editorials", and are
available from that link at the top of the page for each issue, but not
otherwsie.

I have been in touch with Mr. Richard Sever at the publisher, and am
pleased to be able to report that they "...will be adding them as soon as
possible.. This problem only affects J Cell Sci and not the other COB
titles, and is something we are trying to address. Essentially we have
developed software for rapidly publishing research articles on the Web up
to a month in advance of the print product. This software must now be
adapted to accomodate the JCS Millenium articles, which have an unusual
format; we hope to achieve this shortly but in the meantime have made the
Millenium Editorials available at a different level on the site."

I suggest we must continue to be on the watch for material with problems
like this from all of the electronic journals. I hope other publishers
will be as willing to correct it.
