Subject: jake
I'm posting this on several lists, so I apologize for possible duplication.
I was wondering about the following:
JAKE, http://jake.med.yale.edu/ is the free Yale web site which
tells you what indexes are available for the title in hand (i.e. the
same info as a 510, but immediately up to date):
I was thinking what if you could do a global update of all your
periodical titles (using CREATE LISTS in Innovative) to add a 510
that says "Check JAKE at: http://jake.med.yale.edu/ for indexing
information" and add an
856 $u http://jake.med.yale.edu/ $z For indexing information click here:"
That way the burden is on the patron to click through to JAKE to find
out where the title is being indexed and you do not have to update
thousands of periodical titles all the time.
Is anyone doing this? I'd be interested in hearing about it.
