TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION AVAILABLE
HARRISBURG AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
AVAILABLE JULY 1, 2000, 12-MONTH POSITION
PIN 296 Serials/Online Instruction Librarian, Wildwood Campus --
Develops and implements
online instructional resources and manages operations associated with
the development of the
periodical, newspaper, microfilm and serial collections. Requires a
Master's degree in
Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution;
demonstrated expertise in
classroom instruction; knowledge and experience in using electronic
information resources;
knowledge of HTML; experience with online integrated library systems;
knowledge and
experience in Windows 95/NT, and Office 97. Knowledge of periodical
collection development
in an academic setting. Demonstrated oral and written communication
skills. Experience developing
Web resources for instruction. Experience in academic library serials
and user services
preferred.

This position requires a demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the
community
college mission, and active involvement in college/division committees
and professional
development activities. Salary is generally between $38,700 and $43,388
for 12-month positions based on experience and education. All positions
and salaries are pending Board approval. Excellent fringe benefits.
