Advertising pages in printed journals

Subject: A new pet peeve
Fellow Serialists,
After we staunch the flow of free unwanted mags, I suggest we turn
our combined ire towards publishers who bind several stiff pages of
their own advertising into the front of each issue of their numerous
publications. Yes, I'm talking about Haworth Press.
It is next to impossible to remove these pages neatly when preparing
bindery and they do not add anything to the bound volume. If left in,
the pages are difficult to flip through. If removed, the cover is
generally damaged as well.
Well, how about it?
