Please join us for an important discussion on:

         Mergers and Acquisitions in the Serials Industry

We will examine the current trend of mergers and acquisitions in various
sectors of the serials industry from the viewpoint of libraries,
publishers and vendors. Our panelists will give brief overviews from
their respective points of view and attempt to answer some of the
following questions:

* Why are these acquisitions and mergers happening?
* What are the results of these mergers?
* What are the current and future implications of these trends?
* What is the likelihood that the situation will continue or stabilize in
the near future?
* What other changes can we expect to see?

There will be ample time for discussion following the remarks of the
panel. Please come prepared with comments and questions!
