Core webinar: Information Technology Fluency and Poster Design

All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11 am Pacific, noon Mountain, 1 pm Central, and 2 pm Eastern time.

 

Description: This webinar will discuss technological gaps in knowledge and best practices when creating research posters. Using the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education, this course will identify several opportunities for information technology fluency to be embedded in poster design. Finally, this course will highlight several tools and resources to create posters and to stay informed on technological changes over time.

Presenter:

Faye Mazzia is the Electronic & Technical Services Librarian at Touro University Nevada. Faye is a Las Vegas native and obtained her MLIS from University of Arizona whose interests include information technology, research, digital archiving, and geospatial information systems.
