Are you an experienced Midwinter attendee and willing to share your experience and advice?
The LLAMA New Professionals Community of Practice Buddy Program is here to pair Learning Buddies with Experienced Buddies in order to get the most out of your conference experience.
Learning/New means whatever it means to them; they can be starting at a new job or organization, trying out a different area of librarianship, or just brand new to it all! If you’re at all experienced attending and being actively engaged in Midwinter, please consider helping someone else navigate the conference. We have 18 Learning Buddies this year!
Your commitment is to meet at least once with your Buddy at the Midwinter conference. If you are interested in being an Experienced Buddy, please fill out this form.

We’re trying a new matching process: we already have our Learning Buddies, and there’s a handy list where you can choose the person you’d most be able to help:

The list is anonymized and we’ll let you know who your Buddy is (and how to reach them) in early January. To help us best match people, please choose multiple buddies if you can; you’ll only be paired with the number of buddies you indicate.
Anyone interested should complete the Experienced Buddy form by: January 6, 2020.
If you have any questions, please contact a member of the LLAMA New Professional Buddy Program Committee: npsbuddy [at] gmail.com
We look forward to your participation in the Buddy Program!
