As a member of the Library faculty, the Business Librarian serves as the primary liaison to the College of Business (COB) and allied fields, collaborating with faculty to enhance information literacy, actively promoting library services to those communities, and developing the library’s business-related collection. The Business Librarian also works as part of the Public Services team to continuously enhance the user experience.
Beyond these primary assignments, contributions to scholarship and service are required for tenure and promotion.
Qualifications:
· ALA accredited Masters degree in library or information science, by the time of hire
· Demonstrated interest in or experience using business information resources
· Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
· Evidence of both professional initiative and flexibility
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with a diverse university community
· Experience creating instructional materials, such as research guides or tutorials
· Experience providing in-person or online reference service
· Understanding of current collection development practices
· Understanding of information literacy standards
