Yes, we claim print periodical issues.

We are currently using ALEPH, which gives us both a visual cue of next expected (with date),

and the option of printed potential claims forms (on demand).

We are, though, moving to ALMA (ALEPH’s next-gen through Ex Libris) and aren’t quite

sure how it will work there.

Our vendor, EBSCO, also has the EBSCONET interface, which allows for claiming online.

We have been very satisfied with both their responses and their on-screen format.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [SERIALST] Claiming Print Periodicals

Good Morning,

We are in the process of reviewing our claiming procedures and wanted to check-in with other libraries to see what folks were doing.

Basically, is your library claiming print periodicals, and if yes, how so?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Best,

Chris
