Caitlin Harrington of University of Memphis invites you to participate in a study of electronic resources management at academic libraries, tentatively called, “Who Does What? E-Resources Management at Academic Libraries.” NASIG's Core
Competencies for Electronic Resources Librarians identifies seven areas of competencies that broadly encompass work of electronic resources management. For reference that document can be reviewed here:
http://www.nasig.org/site_page.cfm?pk_association_webpage_menu=310&pk_association_webpage=7802.
Within this survey, the author has related NASIG’s competencies to job responsibilities in order to examine the diversity of positions responsible for these varied competencies. The goal of this study is to improve understanding about the
work of electronic resources management, an area of librarianship that continues evolve at a rapid pace.
This survey is anticipated to take approximately fifteen minutes to complete. This survey is anonymous and entirely voluntary; you may exit at any point. Although you will not receive any direct benefit for participating, the author anticipates
that this study will reveal current trends in the management of electronic resources. This instrument was submitted to local Institutional Review Board (IRB), and was determined not to require IRB approval or review.
