Hi Michelle,
We use the Opera browser with VPN access turned on to simulate off-site access. (I sometimes check from home too.)
I’m the Technical Services Librarian, which covers cataloging, electronic resources management, and a whole lot more. (We’re small.)

Subject: [SERIALST] Checking off campus access of E-Resources
We are trying to figure out the best way to check off campus access of our electronic resources when we are
ON campus. We use EZ Proxy for authentication off campus. If you would share how your institution checks access when your users call with problems, or when you are performing setup or general checking of resources.
If you could also say who performs the checking when problem notices come in. Is it the electronic resources person, reference librarian on duty, help desk person … ?
Thank you for your input.
