At my last institution, we used Windscribe https://windscribe.com/ to test off campus access while we were on campus.

If working properly it should change your IP address that is not one at your institution.

You can either download it to your computer or just add and extension to your browser.

Subject: [SERIALST] Checking off campus access of E-Resources

 

We are trying to figure out the best way to check off campus access of our electronic resources when we are ON campus.  We use EZ Proxy for authentication off campus.  If you would share how your institution checks access when your users call with problems, or when you are performing setup or general checking of resources. 

If you could also say who performs the checking when problem notices come in.  Is it the electronic resources person, reference librarian on duty, help desk person … ?
