For most sites, who don't proxy sessions on campus, you won't get useful data about full text downloads from the ezproxy logs because at the very start of the session, the on campus patron's traffic stops running through ezproxy.
So you would at best get full text downloads for your off campus users only, and I for one can't think of a use case for that.
What you can do is count sessions, since even an on-campus session creates one entry in the proxy logs, unless your on campus users have made their own direct bookmarks to it of course.
I have used this in the past to count sessions for tiny products that provide no usage stats at all, so I considered this better than nothing.

Good day everyone,

I am interested to know if anyone has experience to share on using both EzProxy logs and Publisher’s stats to count full-text downloads.

Are there any pros and cons? And things to look out for EzProxy log analysis.

Any input is appreciated.

Best regards,
