Springer Nature Regional Summit on Re-Centering the Research Library

Interested in surrounding yourself with your regional Librarian and Information Resource Manager colleagues to discuss various aspects of re-centering the research library through physical design, collections, communications, and activities?

Join Springer Nature and Keynote Speaker Tim Strawn, Interim Associate Dean for Information Resources and Technology at the Robert E. Kennedy Library at California Polytechnic State University, on Friday, January 19th, 2018 for a program on various aspects of re-centering.

Springer Nature Summits are part of an ongoing effort to bring professional development and continuing education opportunities to local librarians that may not have extensive travel money for national conferences. This Summit will offer a great opportunity for you to hear Tim speak about re-centering the academic library through physical re-design, and then join a discussion about other ways regional librarians in the bay area are inventing new ways to center their libraries and information centers in the mission of their institutions.

Join us at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library, room 225, at San Jose State University in California for a day filled with engaging speakers, lunch, and interactive panel discussions. The day begins at 9:30am with a continental breakfast, and the program runs from 10:00am until 3:00pm. Lunch is included.

Please note, this regional summit is for academic librarians in the greater Bay area.
