The University of Kentucky Libraries seeks a creative, collaborative, and experienced library professional for the position of Federal Regional Depository Librarian to provide collection management support for the Libraries’ U.S., Kentucky, and international government publication collections. As head of the UK Libraries’ Federal Depository Unit, the successful candidate will manage and develop UK’s Federal, international (UN and EU) and Kentucky state government publication collections and online government data resources, as well as supervise the unit’s staff and students. The Federal Regional Depository Librarian will also engage and collaborate with library faculty and staff to support the development, accessibility, and effective use of our government publications collections.

 

UK is Kentucky’s land grant institution, and our Federal Depository Unit (FDU) serves as a GPO Preservation Steward for publications from the Appalachian Regional Commission and the WPA. Our FDU also serves as an ASERL (Association of Southeastern Research Libraries) Center of Excellence for publications from the Appalachian Regional Commission, the WPA, and the Smithsonian Institution.
