The University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Collections and Archives division is seeking applicants for the position of Research and Scholarly Communication Librarian (R99686) at the Ottenheimer Library. The Research and Scholarly Communication Librarian collaborates with personnel across the Collections and Archives (C&A) division and throughout the university to develop and promote research and scholarly communication initiatives of students and faculty. This position holds a faculty appointment with rank leading to tenure. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Reporting to the Research and Scholarly Communication Coordinator, the librarian provides in-person and online research assistance and instruction for multiple disciplines; collaborates with faculty to develop and offer customized, course-integrated instruction; supports faculty in the integration of open educational resources (OER) and affordable course content into the curriculum; and provides leadership for educating the campus community about emerging models of scholarly publishing, open scholarship initiatives, and connections between information literacy and scholarly communication. 

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Library/Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited school, and a minimum of two (2) years of post-MLIS experience in an academic library.

 Preferred Qualifications: Experience with developing and providing instruction and training.  Familiarity with learning management systems.  Working knowledge of copyright or other intellectual property rights. Experience in developing working partnerships with academic faculty and departments and other campus communities.
