We are currently negotiating our license with Pharmaceutical Press for MedicinesComplete.  We are facing the issue that PP is not willing to negotiate the terms of the license, even though at least 2 sections are against our state policies. Here is what I was told about the license:

"Our status as a non-profit and relationship with the NHS in the UK dictates that our licensing terms are fairly rigid. In short, in most instances, we have to maintain the agreement as-is to be compliant with our partner organizations. For smaller accounts, like yours, our management team has made the decision that no changes will be made to the contract. I’m hopeful this will not be a big issue as the contract is pretty standard stuff for this industry and is similar in scope to the other content providers. The agreement is not intended to be punitive in any way for our customers, but only meant to protect our organization and intellectual property."

Has anyone else experienced the same issue of refusing to make changes or even to be silent with Pharmaceutical Press?

Thanks,

Kristin Rogers
