The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks applications for the position of Discovery and Metadata Coordinator / Librarian (R97034). The Discovery and Metadata Coordinator / Librarian is a 12-month library faculty position with rank leading to tenure. Reporting to the Director of Technology and Digital Initiatives, the coordinator provides vision, leadership, and innovation for the Discovery and Metadata Team (formerly Technical Services) and division's efforts to ensure its rich variety of analog and digital information resources are findable and accessible. The Discovery and Metadata Coordinator collaborates with personnel across the division, throughout the university, and with external partners to ensure access to and discovery of resources within the division. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited school or approved terminal degree. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the provision of technical services in a library setting with a minimum of one (1) year experience in a managerial or leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:  Five or more years of experience in management positions in an academic library. Demonstrated experience in developing working partnerships with a variety of groups. Experience with Innovative Interfaces integrated library system (Sierra), EBSCO discovery system, WorldShare Record Manager, and WorldShare Collection Manager.
