Unfortunately, we ended up having to cancel this journal for that very reason. After months of back and forth we finally got word from the publisher (though our sub. Agent at Ebsco) that they do not use EZ Proxy
and do not allow for off campus access. L Our faculty were very disappointed and it was terrible that they did not tell us this upfront, especially since we are an
online only college!
Here is the response that I got from Ebsco (subscription agent) in May 2016:
“The publisher has finally confirmed that they do not accept Proxy authentication. I will have our records updated. They have
advised that they can offer a username/password for your access but I’m not sure this will be helpful to you.”
We ended up getting a credit refund and no have no access to this journal.
Best,
Jennifer

Subject: Remote Access issues : American Nurse Today
Dear Collective Wisdom,
Have any of you experienced and resolved remote access issues with the journal: American Nurse Today?
We are able to access articles to the journal on campus, however, off campus access remains “locked.”
We have checked to make sure that they have our IP range but nothing we have done has worked.
We are authenticating off campus users through EZ Proxy software and our remote servers fall within our IP ranges.
If anyone has had a problem with access and can give us some clues how to get ours to work we would be most appreciative.
The publisher has not been able to assist us in resolving this problem.
Many thanks to you all!
