Position Summary
The Duke University Libraries (DUL) seeks an enthusiastic, conscientious, and service-oriented Electronic Resources Management Librarian to engage in supporting the life cycle of electronic resources and work collaboratively with units
across Technical Services and throughout the DUL system to provide access to primarily electronic continuing resources. Under the supervision of the Head of the Continuing Resource Acquisitions Department, the successful candidate must demonstrate self-motivation
and initiative, innovative approaches to problem solving, a positive learning attitude and the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

Qualifications

Education:
Required: ALA-accredited MLS or advanced degree in related field, or relevant combination of education and experience
Experience:
Required: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; demonstrated analytical, organizational, time and project management skills; demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to work creatively and effectively
both independently and as a team member; understanding (through experience or coursework) of current models, practices, and tools used by academic libraries for the licensing, acquisition, access, and discoverability of e-resources; and interest in professional
development and engagement.
Preferred: Experience in an academic library; experience working with an Integrated Library System or a next-generation resource management system; knowledge of ERM (electronic resource management) systems; broad understanding of
technical services operations; knowledge of industry standards related to serials and electronic resources, e.g., ISSN, Open URL, KBART, ERMI, SERU, COUNTER, SUSHI, etc; and familiarity with fund management and budget processes.

Salary and Benefits
Salary and rank dependent on qualifications and experience. Comprehensive benefits package includes 20 days vacation, 13 holidays, 12 days sick leave; health, dental, disability and life insurance and support for professional development
and training.
