We did this many years ago and have never looked back.  We dumped old print to free up space and everyone has been happy with the result.

Thanks to everyone who answered my $3 question. Onto the next one:

Our APA journals went up by roughly 9% in price from 2015 to 2016. Print-only format, and that’s the only format option available from the subscription agent.

The electronic content for these titles is available in PsycARTICLES on EBSCOhost. I would normally treat PsycARTICLES as an aggregator but our 2007 signed license indicates perpetual access. I know that’s unusual for a database, but it’s right there in black and white.

This leads me to want to knock the print APA journals off the annual renewal and rely solely on PsycARTICLES. Anybody else run into this? And if so, how did you proceed? We wouldn’t withdraw the bound volumes we already have, but we’d cancel the current subscriptions to the print.
