Hi Beth,

I recently inquired with the WSJ about this and their pricing structure for electronic access for institutions based on IP range essentially doesn't exist.  They do it by number of users, even for institutions.

This is from an email indicating how the price would be calculated: "The cost is an introductory rate of $29.95 per user for 1 year and $39.95 upon renewal.  For this group access, the number of users is calculated at 25%  the student body and faculty at your university/college. That works out to about $7.50 per student....more than 85% off our consumer rates!!!!!"

When I calculated the rate for us (about 2900 FTE) it would cost us over $21,000--I inquired about these numbers with the sales person because they seemed so high I thought I was had to be doing something incorrect but then got confirmation that would, indeed, be the cost.  Yikes, no WSJ for us.  However, we do currently have access via ProQuest.

Hello Colleagues,

My Library is interested in a digital subscription to the Wall Street Journal.  Do any of you have experience with this or know if it is even available?  I am looking for something like ProQuest has with the NYT which uses IP authentication rather than a personal account and log in.

Thanks!

Beth
