This rebirth is only for BackMed, which is the one I, but the question was about BackServ which I believe is a totally different list service. If BackServ was also sponsored by Swets, it met the same demise as
BackMed, when they shut down the Swets computers in January.
I am not sure what sponsor would be willing to host BackServ.
Open to any corrections from people who actively used BackServ.

This email was sent out earlier…
Hello all,
There was just an announcement on Medlib-L, that MLA has taken over the backmed listserv. Hurrah!
Here it is:
“With the recent demise/inaccessibility (January 10) of the backmed list originally hosted by SWETS, MLA has created a new public list you can use to replace this resource:
You were previously a subscriber on the SWETS backmed list,
set to receive individual messages, but with mail disabled. If this is still your preferred setting and you wish to remain subscribed to the MLA backmed-exchange list, you need do nothing: your email address and settings will be transferred and remain the
same. The only difference is that the list address has changed to
backmed-exchange@mlahq.org. If you no longer wish to be subscribed at all, please let me know.
When we add your email address to the list, you will receive an initial “welcome” email that provides links to login and make changes. After that you will not receive further backmed-exchange messages, but will be able to post to the list.
You may also contact me directly to make changes or for additional support.
MLA is pleased to be able to continue this valuable service for medical librarians! Please let me know if you have questions or need further information.

I know this has already been discussed but I didn’t save the information about the new Backserv. Can someone send me information about this?
