Great Lakes E-Summit 2014

Delivering Information vs. Collection Building

Maumee Bay State Park Lodge and Conference Center in Oregon, Ohio

September 22-23, 2014

Greetings!

Please join us for the fourth annual Great Lakes E-Resources Summit. This year, we will explore how libraries deliver information to users in the 21st Century. What is the impact of new business models on collection development? How can librarians determine if they are providing electronic information services that are relevant to their users? Presenters from the United States and Europe will address these questions in two tracks: Just in Time Acquisitions and Analytics and Assessment. A panel of professional librarians will discuss whether librarians or users should decide what libraries need in their collections. Experts from library vendors and the publishing world will share their analysis of the contemporary marketplace for electronic resources.
