Electronic Resources Specialist: The Dick Smith Library at Tarleton State University is seeking an Electronic Resources Specialist. This position is a part of the Periodicals Department and reports directly to the head of this unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ongoing acquisition and licensing of library databases and other electronic resources, input and/or maintenance of periodical holdings in national and local online catalogs, and maintenance of subscription lists/reports. Will assist at periodicals service desk as needed. Work requires strong written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with Excel, purchasing procedures, and knowledge of library procedures and guidelines.
30 hours college credit or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years of administrative or library assistance work experience, including one or more years working with computer information systems; Must have experience with technology applications such as Microsoft Office and various databases; Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
This is a twelve-month, appointment starting at $25,776 plus benefits, including choice of group medical and retirement programs; approximately 14 state holidays; paid vacation and sick leave; tuition program; and no state or local income tax.
