All –
Recently, EBSCO subscription services notified our library that American Accounting Association (AAA) journals would no longer be available for online subscriptions. Instead, online access would be available via EBSCO’s Business Source
databases.
I was concerned about this, because aggregator database access is not perpetual (post-cancellation) access, and we continue to want perpetual access to these journals. So, I verified this announcement with the Association.
It is the case that the AAA is not selling online subscriptions to libraries to their journals after 2013, and as a result perpetual access will not be available for issues published after December 2013. However, new content will be
preserved in Portico, should distribution options change in the future.
Libraries that had online subscriptions to AAA journals prior to 2014 will have perpetual access to those issues via AAA Digital Library.
Please see the email below from Diane Hazard, Director of Publications.

Subject: RE: Question from Library about perpetual access - FW: AAA Journals in Online Format for institutions
Dear Liane,
Lisa asked me to clarify our new online subscriptions for you. We realize that your library prefers to subscribe to important journals that have perpetual access and appreciate that these
include AAA journals. Since the AAA is not selling electronic access to our journals directly to libraries at this time, perpetual access is not available. New content is preserved at Portico should the AAA’s distribution options change in the future.
I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
Sincerely,
Diane
