I have experienced this before.
Often it is a technical issue for the online access part and someone at the publisher's end has to tweak our account.
It is not always a fast fix!
That's not very scientific, but I wanted you to know you're not alone.

Hmm, it seems to be working now - and both issues are up. I don’t have time to look further but
will have the student search again.
It’s a manual search. We work at being proactive when it comes to e-access, and have students search
several issues of each title, making sure they can bring up full articles in old issues, new and in-between.
I had reported the problem to our vendor, Harrassowitz, so maybe they got it fixed.

Jeanette,
What ILS do you have? Do you have an automatic report on e-access subscriptions or does the student do it manually? Maybe it comes from EBSCOnet.
Please let me know how you do it.
The weird thing is: I checked our access and we do have access to July-Sept. 2012, but not to Jan.-June 2012. No idea why that is.

I’m not sure if this is an issue confined to this title or more widespread and not a problem at all, but it’s the first time I’ve
encountered it, and so I’m asking.
We have an electronic subscription to this title - changed over for 2011. Today, in going through my student’s report on e-access
subscriptions, I came to a note that we do not have access to the 2012 issue. Of course, that happens once in a while - the pub doesn’t recognize the renewal, whatever. But then I went in to check further - the student is exactly correct - the January -
June 2012 issue is displayed, and we have no access. However, going to the checkin record (because they are still sending us print issues also, something I’ve delayed in reporting) and lo and behold, we got the Jan-June issue May 3, and the July - Sept issue
on May 23.
But the July - Sept issue is not online.
Is it usual to have that long of a delay, or is something else going on here?
Enquiring minds want to know . . .
