JSTOR is pleased to announce that Books at
JSTOR will be live in November 2012. Books at JSTOR will feature
over 14,000 scholarly monographs from leading academic presses,
which will be fully integrated with the more than 1,600 current
and archival journals on JSTOR, including links to and from book
reviews.
An initial title list, as well as more
information on the program, is available at http://books.jstor.org.
Books at JSTOR will feature front- and backlist
books, available for purchase as individual titles. All books will
be available in a single concurrent user model, and many will be
in an unlimited user model. The program will feature:
· Flexible
purchase options, including demand-driven acquisition
· High-quality
metadata, including chapter-level DOIs and free MARC records
· Perpetual
access rights, with books preserved in Portico (http://www.portico.org)
· COUNTER-compliant
usage statistics

Portico

is a digital preservation service for e-journals, e-books, and
other scholarly e-content. The Portico archive is certified as
a “trustworthy digital repository” by the Center
for Research Libraries; more than 13,000
e-journals, more than 120,000 e-books, and 48 d-collections
