I don’t know if this has been a problem at your institution, but we do not feel we received timely and clear notification that JAMA was changing platforms
resulting in a cutoff of access (with no redirect.) We use SFX and therefore lost all access until we manually updated the URL.
I have included the e-mail that was forwarded to me. Several of my colleagues on another list have stated that they did not realize the JAMA Network
was a platform change and not a social media initiative until they really looked at the e-mail. The subject line does nothing to convince you of the message’s importance.
I have written an e-mail of complaint to the sales director and our account rep, which you may also want to do.
Also, if you can’t read this e-mail on the listserv, the web link for it does not work. I missed that in my letter, but there’s some ammo for you. J
