<br>Aa Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL) Workshop

<br> Facilitated by UMBC Faculty and Librarians
<br> <p>E-publishing is not merely the replication of print formats, but
<br> something entirely new for us to invent. We will explore the
<br> intersections of repositories, publishing, and the digital humanities,
<br> then brainstorm innovative models for publishing, peer-reviewing,
<br> distributing, and archiving inextricably digital works that cannot be
<br> published in print form. Discussion will range from the theoretical to
<br> the elements and design of platforms and tools from a cross-
<br> disciplinary approach.
<br> </p><p>The workshop will be led by the core group of UMBC faculty and
<br> librarians who developed the initial concepts of the UMBC Digital
<br> Publishing Initiative. Participants from an array of fields are
<br> invited (publishers, IT professionals, kibrarians, scholar authors,
<br> policy makers).
