Good morning,
Our library currently has been having some problems
regarding access to online journal content from off-campus. The folks
at EBSCO have been looking into these problems for us, but we'd love to get any
suggestions or advice that your collective wisdom has to offer!
Our library uses the following products:
EZProxy
EBSCO's AtoZ
EBSCO's Linksource
Our problems:
1) Patrons that are off-campus cannot access many
of our individual online journal subscriptions from off-campus,
whether trying to go via AtoZ, or a "find full text" link in a database, or even
just appending our proxy URL to the publisher's content website.
2) Patrons that are off-campus cannot access our
ILL form via linksource. When they're in a database and click "find full text",
they do arrive at the list of potential full-text resources fine, and this list
includes a link to our ILL form. But, when patrons click the link for the ILL
form, they are brought to a page where the patron is asked to login to
EBSCO.
Since I'm guessing that at least a few other libraries
are using the same products we are, I'm wondering what you folks are doing (or
not doing), so that your products are all working as they should.
If you have any advice, suggestions, ideas on this
please send them to me at: adamo@hartford.edu .
Thanks so much!
