Dear Colleagues,

The Charleston Conference is pleased to announce that our 2012 Call for Papers and Call for Preconferences forms are now open.  The 2012 Charleston Conference (www.katina.info/conference) will be held November 7-10 in beautiful historic downtown Charleston, SC.  The 32nd annual conference on Issues in Book and Serial Acquisition will  have the theme "Accentuate the Positive!"

The Call for Preconferences form is online at http://katina.info/conference/callforpreconferences.php. The deadline to receive proposals for preconference sessions is April 6, 2012.  All preconferences will be held on Wednesday, November 7.

The Call for Papers form is online at http://katina.info/conference/callforpapers.php.  The deadline to receive session proposals is June 15, 2012.  We are looking for proposals that tie into our theme for 2012, "Accentuate the Positive!"  The main conference will be held from Thursday, November 8, through Saturday, November 10, and we are seeking proposals for the following sessions:

Specifically, we'd like to have a series of Shotgun Sessions (short, Petcha Kutcha-like sessions of 6 minutes, 20 seconds each) relating to success stories in the library.  Our other topical threads are listed on the proposal form.

Please contact Leah Hinds with any questions at leah@katina.info.  We look forward to seeing you in Charleston this November!

Cordially,

The Charleston Conference Team

(Please forgive the cross postings)
