I thought I had summarized the responses, but I think those summaries went to individuals and not to Serialst.

There is too much detail to reproduce, but it seems that at universities with digital thesis processing, graduate offices are requiring that theses and dissertations be submitted in .pdf.   Some universities are no longer requiring or even handling any paper copies, particularly where institutional repositories have been established.   A few indicated that the signature page is not uploaded to ProQuest/UMI for security reasons.

Maybe some will share their specific information with the listserv.  Our Dean of Graduate Studies was receptive to the idea, but now he wants some contact information.  When we get things rolling, I'll be glad to share our new procedures.
