I don’t use Google mail, but I have had the problem. It turned out that I had to convert my mail to Plain Text or it wouldn’t go through. Backserv doesn’t like HTML, etc. I don’t know if this is your problem, but I thought that I would mention it.

Two or three years ago that was my experience, so we quit trying to use Google Mail for backserv. A couple of weeks ago, I thought about trying it again, but maybe not, considering your inquiry!
