At Tennessee's state colleges and universities
the staff that are classified as clerical are eligible for a salary
increase if they pass the CPS (Certified Professional Secretary)
exam. Library staff are classified
as clerical. So basically library staff who study how to be
good secretaries/administrative assistants and pass the exam get a
salary increase.
I am curious if this is unique to Tennessee or if other colleges or
universities classify their staff as clerical and if so whether they
have a similar CPS incentive program?
Thanks,
Beverly
