Left Coast Press, Inc. is pleased to announce that it will
become publisher
of the journal Lithic Technology effective in 2011 (volume 36). Grant
McCall, Department of Anthropology, Tulane University, will assume
editorship of the journal at that time as well. Lithic Technology is the
leading refereed serial publication for the study of ancient stone tools
and
technology. The journal will continue to be published in two issues each
year beginning in Spring 2011. Electronic subscriptions to the journal
now
will be available to institutional subscribers. Back issues also will be
available from the publisher.
Lithic Technology was founded in 1972 and for the past 19 years has been
published by University of Tulsa where it was ably edited by George Odell.
The journal publishes peer reviewed research articles on all facets of
the
study of stone tools and their technology, as well as thematic issues,
book
reviews, and other resources. Four Special Publications sponsored by the
journal also will be available from Left Coast.
Journal editor Grant McCall is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Tulane
University. He has a Ph.D. from University of Iowa and is a specialist
in
the Early and Middle Stone Age in Africa. Articles to be considered for
publication in Lithic Technology should be sent to McCall at Dept. of
Anthropology, 101 Dinwiddie Hall, Tulane University, New Orleans, LA 70118,
