Our
subscription will also increase to $2250 for print + online or $2137.50 for
online only (not sure about need to negotiate license for e-only option). We
checked our stats and it appears that this is a heavily downloaded title - based
on use stats, we estimate the cost per download to be just shy of $5.00 per
download (not a bad cost per use, even though the subscription increase is
astronomical). Publishers do indeed pay attention to use of their wares.

Subject: [SERIALST] American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care
Medicine--cost spike
Have other libraries encountered the dramatic
price rise of American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine from
$700 to $2250? I guess this will be the end of our subscription.
