Call for Proposals
The ALCTS Cataloging & Classification
Section, Copy Cataloging Interest Group is seeking proposals for presentations
at its ALA Mid-Winter meeting in San Diego. The ALCTS CCS Copy Cataloging
meeting will be on Saturday, January 8th from 10:30 a.m. –
noon.
Possible topics include, but are not limited
to:
· How
to train and to prepare copy catalogers for RDA
· Integrating
vendor/shelf ready cataloging into your library catalog
· Training
copy catalogers to create non-MARC catalog records (e.g, Dublin Core)
· Training
and supporting copy catalogers who create original or derived catalog records
Presentations should be about 15 minutes
long. Audience questions and discussion will be encouraged after the presentations.
