REMINDER:  Due September 24th

In honor of the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Annual Charleston Conference,
HARRASSOWITZ is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to attend the 2010
Conference that will take place November 3 – 6, in Charleston, SC.

Applicants are asked to write an essay of no more than 1000 words on the topic:

“Libraries and Vendors: Working together to survive tough economic times”

Essays should be sent to scholarship@harrassowitz.de by

September 24, 2010 and HARRASSOWITZ will notify the winner

of the scholarship on October 12, 2010.

Applicants must currently work as a librarian or a para-professional in a library
and provide a brief resume.

All applications will be acknowledged and reviewed by a panel of librarians.
All applicants will be notified of the results and the scholarship award

must be used for the 2010 conference.

About the Conference:
Begun in 1980 as an informal gathering of librarians, publishers, and vendors to
discuss topics of common interest, the Charleston Conference has grown into an
