Dear all,
We are pleased to announce the launch of the new look ingentaconnect, which is scheduled for Monday 6th September.
While the design represents a significant change to the site there are no changes to the URLs or linking syntax. Link resolvers, bookmarks and personalization features will all continue to function as before with no action required by readers or librarians.
The new look ingentaconnect
has been designed to optimize the end user experience
through improved navigation and content discovery and
represents the second phase of a series of
enhancements for ingentaconnect. Phase one of the
enhancements included a release in March this year
which featured COUNTER 3 compliance, early compliance
with Shibboleth 2, as well as RightsConnect
integration and improved Open Access support.
Future releases will deliver additional improvements and upgrades to include; integration with the award winning search engine (Apache Solr), enhanced ahead of print functionality, plus additional content amounting to 3,600 new titles.
While ingentaconnect may
look dramatically different,
it still maintains its status as a trusted and
established research resource; containing 13,500
scholarly and professional publications, equating to
4.5 million articles from 255 leading international
publishers. ingentaconnect continues to be committed
to ensuring visibility of content via library
technology and is an active member of the KBART
working group. Partnerships with Summon, Primo Central
and EBSCO Discovery Service also guarantee content is
discoverable via the latest range of library products.
Finally, ingentaconnect
mobile will make its debut later this autumn – more to
follow on this!
