This mail is only for people who are going to the Lakes 5 event in July/August.

All NW members at the event are expected to help with the organisation. Each event is being run by a different club, but MDOC has a special role – organising “Central Services”. This means that we need to provide helpers on all 5 of the days. (The Urban event on the rest day is being run totally separately and we are not involved)

Central Services includes:
Registration both on Saturday (the day before the first race) and on Sunday (at the first race)
Enquiries (every day)
EOD including data entry (every day)
Manning download points. Sticking up start lists, previous day’s results, on-going results, etc (every day)
Prizegiving. Some help needed on Friday only.

It is expected that all MDOC members will help for either 1 or 2 sessions in the course of the week. Some of our members (maybe 5 or 6) will be helping every day and still hoping to get a run each day!

The purpose of this mail is to let everyone know what is happening, but
WE NEED SOMEONE TO SORT OUT IN ADVANCE WHO WILL DO WHAT EACH DAY.

If you can't help on the race days but would like to coordinate the helpers this would be much appreciated.
