Folks,
Whilst the directions are now correct, there is now a set of
lights on the main road which is now only single carriageway and there could
be severe tailbacks in both directions.
If you would normally travel from Hazel Grove, I suggest you either plan
your journey via Marple and Hawk Green or at the Bullock Smithy Pub (the one
before/after the Rising Sun junction) go up Torkington Road until it turns
90degrees left into Offerton Road, Turn right and follow the road (it twists
and turns) until you get to the T junction with the Hawk Green/High Lane
road, Turn right.
Either way you will be approaching High Lane along Windlehurst Road, ignore
the Road Closed Ahead signs when you get to High Lane and carry on until you
turn left to the village Hall.
If you would normally, come from Disley then I suggest you come over the top
road (Jacksons Edge Road/Carr Brow) and either turn right at the bottom of
the hill and push into traffic queue then first right at the Red Lion onto
Andrew Lane or for those who know turn right just before the main road and
go through the estate by my house to Andrew Lane and then as below.
regards
Chris

Sorry folks. Chris Rostron informs me that cars cannot use the bridge on
Keswick Rd.
So... 2nd left after Windlehurst Rd on to Andrew Lane ( opposite The Red
Lion pub)
then left at T junction on to Windlehurst Rd.
