Hi all

The next event in the MDOC NSL series will take place in Altrincham on Thursday 29th November. The event centre is The George and Dragon, Manchester Road, Altrincham, WA14 4PH.

Event team Peter and Jillyan have provided the following info.

Altrincham welcomes and awaits those with an adventurous spirit.

The competition area boasts a variety of terrain including a pedestrianised town centre, the posh Bowdon and Hale environs, and your typical Victorian suburbs. Plus bits of what can only be described as Timperley. There are dark park paths for the intrepid. A railway line runs north to south that cuts the area in two. It can be crossed in ten separate places: but be warned, two of them are level crossings with no nearby footbridge. You pays your money…...

The George and Dragon (WA14 4PH) is one of the Table Table chain and has a decent menu and good beer. All you have to do is order at the bar. Failing that you could always make a night of it and book in at one of the 148 restaurants in Altrincham.(as per TripAdvisor)  Personally I wouldn’t ignore The New Don (been going for years and years let me tell you) which is the chip shop just down the road to the south.

The pub has a small carpark but most of the parking will be on nearby streets - free after 5.00pm.

For those coming by Metro there is a 10/15minute walk from Altrincham station. Exit the station on the west (bus depot) side and then turn right (north) along Railway street. It soon bears left and becomes Barrington Road. Stay on it and cross the dual carriageway at the lights. In 200m turn left down Sandiway Road and after a further 200m the George and Dragon is immediately on your left as you reach the A56.

Looking forward to seeing you.
