Hi All

ALL THE BEST FOR TOMORROW!  We have a very promising team....please check your control codes.

Hopefully you have all checked the website and seen that the event is confirmed as going ahead.....latest update on the website says:-

After a survey of both areas, the CSC Event at Irwell Valley is ON. The car parks are on hard standing but please be under no illusion, the area is sodden, slippery and the going is very physical. There is lots of standing water. Please come suitably attired and prepared to get wet & muddy. The conditions on the White and Yellow are drier. Whistles should be carried and a check will be made at the start.
Good Luck! Paul

Please ensure that you all take a whistle....cagoules are not mentioned and since the weather forecast is looking okay for tomorrow they hopefully will not be required (put one in any way in case you decide it’s needed) Weather link:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2639897

You will have all seen the start list advertised on the MDOC website Link: http://www.mdoc.org.uk/csc2014/CSC_2014_Start_Lists.pdf

(Some of you have had your start time changed – you know who you are since you have received email confirmations from myself and Eddie.  A very few of you have had your course changed – again you know who you are as you have received emails from me).

I am guessing that the valleys will be very wet and soggy and any tracks & paths may be a faster option but that’s me guessing.  I see from the final details it says “A blank map of Philips Park will be available at Registration for viewing on the day.”...that may be worth a look if you have time.

Make sure you read the final details:  http://www.mdoc.org.uk/csc2014/CSC_2014_Final_Details.pdf

eg Any special map symbols. Also the section regarding mt bikes.... there are dedicated mountain bike trails (MBT) in Philips Park. These are also one-way

trails and are marked on the map as RED PATHS.

Best wishes
