Folks,
In a mere 2 weeks time (Tuesday 29 October), the
MDOC Street League season kicks off in style at the Romiley Arms. New
area - new map - new scoring system for the handicap trophy. 40, 60 and
75-minute options. You know it makes sense.
For all those who haven't done so yet ... please
can you order your map and indicate whether you'll be staying for food ??

The pub food is cheap and hopefully cheerful. They
would like people to order before their run. There were 5 interesting looking
beers on the bar this week - including a Bleaklow Bitter brewed in Glossop. The
car park isn't huge, and there seems to be a complicated system of car park
vouchers - I'm waiting for clarification on this one - but straight across the
road is the huge Station Car Park and that is free from 6pm
onwards.
Registration 6pm onwards. Starts 6.30 onwards - or
as soon as we've got everything set up. The usual panel of experts will be
on hand to provide help and advice for beginners - so bring your
mates.
Time to dig out your watch, pencil,
(head)torch and Hi-Vis clothing (and your GPS tracker for recording the genius
of your route).
