Hi - we are still looking for club members to take on the COLA award so that our Monday training sessions can continue. There are more details in my original email below and there is a summary of the course on the BO website http://www.britishorienteering.org.uk/page/leaders. Without a sufficient number we cannot continue so if you could help on such a rota basis that would be fantastic. The Monday sessions have proved popular with our juniors, have introduced new members to the club and are a good way of keeping fit over the dark months for established club members.

Thanks
Trevor

Subject: [MDOC] COLA Course - Community Orienteering
Sent: Sun, Aug 11, 2013 6:17:08 PM

Hi - as many of you will be aware the club has been holding regular training sessions on a Monday evening. In the winter these have taken place at Hazel Grove High School and have incorporated both fitness training (circuits) and some orienteering activities whilst in the summer we have move outdoors to some of the mapped local parks (Bramhall or Lyme). In order for the winter sessions to continue we need to have a group of people who have attended the new COLA course organised by British Orienteering and I've been asked to find out who would be interested in attending such a course. We are looking for individuals aged 16 and above who would be prepared to run a Monday night session on a rotation basis and need at least six people for BO (Dan Riley) to hold the course. If you are interested could you reply to me by Friday 23rd August. Those interested will also need to have emergency first aid training and is something else we will need to arrange.

Thanks
Trevor
