Dear Club Secretary,

Pre-entries for the above close at midnight on Sunday. So far the entry is very low, as it is for many events that day which suggests that people haven't yet decided their plans for the weekend. In a bid to influence them and to ensure our mass start race has enough competitors to remain what a regular attendee calls "the most fun event of the year", could I ask that if you have an Email distribution system within your club, you alert your members to the approaching deadline, e.g. by forwarding this Email.

EOD is available while map stocks last but I'd like to make sure we have enough maps by getting pre-entries in. There's a flier attached but more details can be found at https://www.seloc.org.uk/wp/event/horwich-festival-of-racing-sprint-orienteering/. The Festival provides plenty of other attractions, including the option to do a road or cycle race for those interested.
